 Personal Crest

This was for a client who wanted a personal crest to use on his stationary that reflected on his heritage and family history. It was a great brief to work on in terms of variation as his family traced from both Greece and Australia. The little owl was chosen as it was used on the back of the Athenian coin and a platypus was the animal the client thought was best to represent Australia. The orthodox cross is a reference to one of his ancestors being a saint and the water lines and the boat signify how his family travelled to Australia. The warratah is an Australian bloom where the black olive wreath hints at the Greek heritage as well as being a symbol for peace.

The client kept the black and white version for printing onto his letterheads etc and for the original painting of this he requested some gold detailing to make the image pop.
