Like the field mice this painting was created using a monotype printing process combined with my style of ink and watercolour painting. This little hedgehog was inspired by the hedgehogs a friend of mine rescues and nurses back to health before setting free into the wild.

Due to the monotype processes involved there are indentations in the paper where you can see the imprints the leaves when going through the printing press. This gives the painting added depth and texture.
