This year I decided I wanted to expand my portfolio and try painting something new. I wanted to paint flowers in a way that married with the style I paint animals. Using a little ink and plenty of loose watercolour I enjoyed exploring the colour and texture in flowers and the irises in my garden are some of my favourites. I love the shape of the petals and the yellow and purple colours.
