 Virginia Park Lodge

I was contacted to do some illustration work for a hotel in Ireland that had recently been taken over and the clients wanted images of my animals and other illustrations to adorn their website, fliers, marketing, menus and other printed material.

The hotel itself used to be a hunting lodge for Geoffrey Thomas Taylour the 4th Marquess of Headfort who caused a scandal in 1901 by marrying a common stage girl called Rosie Boote. Due to the history of the lodge I wanted to hark back to the period in my illustrations. The old fishing tackle in particular was a nod to this and the animals featured are game that would have been hunted at the lodge.
