For the Gratitude Trail I wanted to celebrate our native British birds and incorporated the colours of the rainbow alongside each bird as a nod to the rainbows we painted in our windows to support the NHS during the pandemic. I also found that during lockdown people had a great appreciation of the outdoors and our wildlife, even noticing that the beauty of garden birds could brighten peoples moods.
