Influenced by the Viking colonisation of Scotland and it's Islands and drawing artistic inspiration from the Lindisfarne gospels, my lighthouse also celebrates the Up Helly Aa festival celebrated in North East Scotland. I wanted to create a striking design with lots of colour and the shields belong to Gayzers who attend the festivals on the Shetland isles, Moray and Orkney.
